Unofficial acceptance via email from poi. No interview.

I was notified by two of my POI today, applied for an MA but accepted into their PhD1 program. Both said I would likely see my official letter on my portal within the week. WOOHOOO

Hoooooooray!!

Email from POI

Informal admission notification from POI. Official letter to come next week.

Got an email from the POI. So happy about this! He told me that all the interviews are completed, and decisions have been made. Those who have applied should hear back soon!

Interview with POI listed on SOP. Timeline to decision is 2-3 weeks.

Political theory subfield

Received an email from the graduate program director (at almost 11 PM Montreal time!) confirming admission with funding details to come soon through the portal. Domestic applicant from a top 3 Canadian university, no MA. Super grateful!

Has anyone received a rejection or offers?

Ignore interview. Has anyone heard from McGill Sociocultural?

got an email of rejection saying there were over 150 applicants for about 6 places. unexpected this many applications this year at McGill :(

POI reached out suggesting I enter consideration for their direct-entry PhD program, AKA PhD1. Not entirely sure if this means I am more likely to be accepted.

1 year research experience. No publications

I was just wondering if official interview invites were sent out
