Email from grad coordinator. For future applicant context: current senior at Ivy, 2 peer-reviewed pubs (int'l Q2 journal, undergrad journal), 2 conference paper presentations (int'l & national), no formal RA/TA experience, major in related field + related activism, phone call with potential PI, coming off one year med leave

I am shocked I am wait-listed. This was one of the schools I thought I had in the bag. Guess we will see?

Notified via Email that I am on a hold list with other great candidates. Hoping I get in. This was one of my safety schools. Not look great :(

Received email with formal acceptance and funding. Masters in demography and 3 years of research experience with publications.

Called on the phone by POI and offered admission, given brief info about funding and visit weekend. Official letter to come soon

Emailed by professor I reached out to prior to applying, official email forthcoming.

Second faculty member to reach out.

Notified by email that I am on the "hold" list, "students who the committee was excited about and see as strong candidates, who might be invited for an interview/admission in the future." Should hear back more in late March. More waiting, oh boy...

First acceptance. Yay, I'm happy!

Checked the website after seeing everyone else getting their results. It stings. :-( I should have probably looked more closely into OSU interdisciplinary programs in the arts and sciences instead. Good luck to those who were admitted.

Received an email from one of my POI; About myself: international applicant (received my master degree in the US); strong letters of recommendation; decent research experience (but not that much); one academic conference presentation; one published article (not in English); one decent writing sample;
