fiction applicant!

Nonfiction applicant. Cautiously optimistic.

:o

The audacity to receive this notification in September, a full 9 months after applying LMAO

After getting an offer from Bennington I emailed to check status of my application with WW. The director emailed back a few hours later. She said that most of their list is solidified by the deadline (I completed my app submission ON the deadline) but offered me deferred admission for the summer. Positive interaction, but know that submitting your application before WW's deadline is advantageous to you!

Accepted with partial scholarship. Positive feedback on application and manuscript from core faculty (anonymously). Positive interaction with Jericho Parms, the interim director. Very thorough and patient on the phone.

Speedy! This came a mere 7 business hours after the holiday weekend application deadline for the January 2019 residency.

Anyone on the NYU waitlist still not heard back?

I was a late applicant to this low-res program. After going through the pain and expense of applying to ten full-res fully-funded schools, I realized that low-res was really the right fit for me. I am thrilled to be starting workshop in August.

Still wait listed. Frustrated. For family and person reasons, Columbia was all I applied to, first application after different career. Any insight into the chances or should I just wait for my August rejection and reapply?

Chancellor's Distinguished Fellowship.

Applied in November lmao

I was waitlisted earlier this year and received an email to let me know a spot opened up!

called to ask, but it sounds like if you've heard nothing from siu there's a chance you might have been waitlisted 1a/1w/5r

Figured I was rejected when I didn't hear anything by end of January. Only took four months for them to confirm so.

To the below: I think the chances of getting in at this point are nonexistent. When I called, it sounded like enough of the initial offers accepted that they didn't even need to go to the waitlist. Also, someone on another forum said that they called to decline their spot and were told that there was a long waitlist. At this point, the only way in would be if someone who has accepted and paid a deposit changed their mind and decided not to attend. I don't know how often this has happened in past years, but it seems pretty unlikely.
