Is anyone waiting for Spring 2021 admissions results. I have submitted on November 3, 2020 n recieved nothing.

To USC EE PhD commentor: applied for electromagnetics track, but was contacted by professor in photonics. Co-authored 1 publication in nanophotonics with undergrad electrical engineering background

Interview with PI over video chat. EE department fellowship nominations are due January 4, so professors are interviewing their top candidates before then

Han interview in mid November with PoIs mentioned in SOP. Was extended an offer afterwards, but I told them to give me till February to get my decision across. If I decide to take up the offer, admission letter will come then. Best wishes to everyone out there. As a form of encouragement, I applied to 13 PhDs, including NYU, last year and got rejected in all. This year, I also applied to 13 and had/have 2 interviews already. So if you're rejected at the end of this admission cycle, don't give up, rather, try again by improving upon the flaws in your application. You'll see more of my post as other decisions come out, and I'll share the tips that aided my application this time around. Best luck to everyone!

Mail from PoI that I've been in contact with prior to application for a chat (LOL) next week. I was made to know that application review started very recently. Submitted application around Mid October, and all recommendation letters by end of October.

With funding 24K + 7.1K for the first year and 21K+ 2.1K for the second year. (The second year the tuition drops)
