email to check application portal, status update

Email to check application status with rejection letter attached

Domestic Canadian student. Email to check portal for official letter. $27k funding

Emailed the director to ask about the application status. Interviewed three weeks ago. Good luck to the other applicants!

Domestic Canadian student. Official offer. I had an interview a few weeks ago, had been given unofficial acceptance.

(Ignore interview) TTPB: Did Darcy send you the acceptance email? Or "unofficial" like from a PI? Thanks!

Neurobiology of Behavior and Cognition Specialization. Unofficial.

To poster below: I have not heard anything from UBC either and my status on the portal is still listed as "In Progress."

TTPB: Lmao that wasn't me those other times - it's a common phrase, but I haven't mentioned it online before. It just means that someone is trying to coordinate grad school locations with their partner. My boyfriend has gotten into an NYC school, so I'm hoping to as well.

TTPB: wtf is a 2-body problem lol? I've seen u mention it quite a few times on gradcafe and physicsgre.

Ignore WL; TTPB about the Brianne's reply and interview, thanks for the information. Can't wait for mid-march!

Has anyone still not heard from University of British Columbia? I've seen some acceptances and rejections here, but still have't heard anything either way.

Applied early action. Financial aid decisions to come in mid-March

Seems they sent out copy pasted form letter below to all rejected applicants. Do not believe they really considered all applications fairly.

Email from 2 professors for a short Zoom interview this week.

Any idea what's going on with Columbia? No news. No interview invitation. Is this IR?

TTPB re interviews: that's a good question, I didnt ask that unfortunately. I'm hoping they're just doing the 1 way video interview that was required as part of the application process, but I'm 0% sure in that.

MA in Phil, GPA 3.8 from a small private school, full-funding (18k) with an assistantship, did not submit GRE. Very nice and personal email. Not sure if this one will work out but still considering it. Will need to hear back from all schools in order to make a decision. Si se puede!
