Just a few weeks away from my 40th birthday and was hoping to get out of a dead-end job and make a serious life change. This was the only program that I applied to since, after months of research, it was the only school whose curriculum I was interested in. Oh well. I've experienced a lot tougher/more painful things in life, so I'll be fine. And although I'm not really sure what to do now, I know it'll all work in the end (Romans 8:28). To those who are accepted, cherish your time at Yale since it is a dream that does not become a reality for many of us. Congratulations! (And to the poster below, I think the 11,000 may refer to how many applications were received by the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences altogether.)

Full tuition ($42k annually) plus living stipend ($14k annually). Background: large public research university, undergraduate honors thesis and international research, 2.5 years in the Middle East. Proof that you can get into top schools without an ivy league background or much full-time work experience if you have good language skills, interesting international experiences, and a clear career focus.

Received e-mail to check website. Glad they got back to me early, at least. Good luck to everyone else!

Email to check website. Apparently they received 11k applications for 28-29 spots (lol YIKES). Wasn't really jazzed about moving to New Haven so no harm no foul.

I knew they would not take me. Only sending that 11000 applications crap to everybody. Yale's Chemical is not that well. Already get accept from top university. #3 single author papers; 1 patent; 4 years of work exp.

Seems many public health students on wait list... One more here. Congratulations to all students who are accepted!

Dejected! I am in the top 5% of the batch of a very prestigious undergraduate institution. Have relevant experiences as well.

Emailed to check status online. Not surprised. Good luck to all who's still waiting for offers!

Received an email to check application status

Hopeless entirely.... I feel like to end up my life at this stage. I am totally a failure.
