Rejected off of waitlist.

emailed the department about the decision date and was notified of the rejection...

Interestingly, a professor had called me a few weeks after I submitted my application telling me that I'm a strong candidate, though they have limited funding.

Talked to Richard. The acceptances are sent out, waiting to hear back (if you're gonna turn them down, please think of us waitlists and don't delay!)

Was interviewed before the final offer was made ! Funding in the form of GSI (TA) in the 1st year, and then GRA in the subsequent years

A prof. called to offer me a better financial deal. sounds good!! :)
