In Fellowship pool. I've been working as an undergrad researcher for 2 years

For people asking about OSU admission, I did email POI beforehand but did not get any reply before admission. Got one reply after admission though. I have been working as a lecturer at an undergrad institution in my country for a few months now. And I did not attend OSU Graduate Open House.

To the OSU posted below, congrats! Had you attended their graduate open house? Were you in touch with any professor prior to application? Did you work after your BSc?

Interview from POI

My first admission. Waiting for funding decision. Credentials: top 6% of class (BSc), 10 IEEE conference papers, above average GRE score.

Graduated from the top university in my Country. Extensive research experience ~4 years. Masters CGPA= 4. First author 2 conference publications, 1 Journal submitted and working on another Journal paper. Working in collaboration with a Professor while working at a Major Tech company. Not even mentioned the POI in my SOP, still got an acceptance from him with full funding :).

Computer vision/image processing research experiences (3 publications), IEEE robotics competitions, industry internship with software engineering.

To person asking about GA Tech admission - yes, it was very early and quite surprising. I spoke with the graduate director on the phone and they said it was the first acceptance they sent out, so don't be surprised if you haven't heard anything yet. I submitted the last week of November. No contact with any professors before applying, but I did work at a national lab that the graduate director himself had actually worked at as well, so that might have caught their attention. Stats should already be listed...

Accepted with one year TA-ship and "President's Fellowship" (not much money). Had not been in contact with any professors prior so slightly surprised, No pubs, though did have a summer research fellowship at a national lab. Visit days are March 7-8.
