Some pubs, extensive research experience, 2 years as a tech, median GRE Scores.

Email to check website. Yale is my dream school. Please decline if you have better offers. Thanks soooooooo much

American with UK degrees. GPA is Masters. Email to check application portal. Boiler plate rejection letter there. Emailed the DGS for feedback on application for future applications, DGS forwarded email to head of admissions committee, who gave me a politely written speculative overview of my application - my GRE grades, my grades, and writing sample, and recommendations. While all speculative - as all this type of feedback is - it was very welcoming and indeed encouraging that I received such a response. Keep the faith, follow the dream! Become a doctor of non-medical things!

Generic email to check website. Expected since I didn't receive an interview. (I hear there were only 12 this year!)

Email to check status through portal on website.

Pretty competitive though, given I've heard 5-8 people get in the Silver Scholars program every year. Thought that Goldman Sachs internship might help push my case through, but it's all good. Good luck to you all!

Fulbright Research Scholar, Critical Language Scholar, one publication, excellent LORs, three foreign languages, multiple internships both domestically and abroad.

knew it was a long shot, but still stung. 3.98 GPA, decent GREs. 15 years work experience in private sector, academic/peer-reviewed publications, international volunteer work. But am not proficient in any language other than English and had no relevant work experience. Congrats to all that got in!!

I guess there are just so few spots open. A bit of a bummer, but I’ve already been accepted to a bunch of other places.
