American politics. Sad days!

0a/2r/9p. Congrats to all the admitted!

Checked the OSU portal. I don't like the color red that much anyway.

This was my third rejection and I'm beginning to get nervous. Congrats to everyone who got in!

I contacted my prospective advisor at Austin and she told me I was not admitted. CP subfield.

I have a masters degree in urban studies from a reputed Asian university. 2 years' worth of RA experience + 2 co-authored papers under review.

A kind email from DGS with a hopeful statement that they're expecting to admit me but currently they can not.

TTPB: I am unsure specifically how Northwestern's Political Science program handles things, but in my experience it is not uncommon for PI's to reach out to applicants personally for a chat/interview (even if the program doesn't *officially* interview applicants). For example, in December I was interviewed by a faculty member (at a different university) despite that program explicitly stating that there are no interviews throughout the application process.

For those who believed the claim of interview with Ian Hurd, here is the message I received : "we have not yet sent out ANY decisions, and we do not invite students for interviews before or after admission. We're in the process of reviewing files; we expect that all decisions will be out before the end of February." I honestly feel pity for people who come here and just post spam. Thanks.

just as below accepted and waiting for offer

Did not submit GRE scores with my application. No GSS funding. Submitted app in November.

Received standard email to check the portal. IR/CP. Grad GPA. No mention of funding.

Didn't receive a rejection yesterday and I checked my spam. Portal hasn't changed either. Did the waitlists and acceptances go out yet?
