Grew up in Boston, so it is sad to know that I will never get to study here. Was expecting the rejection, but it is still a sad day.

When I applied I didn't realize MIT has so few pure math grad students, and I'm definitely not a good enough applicant to be one of them.

Same message as the above wait-listed post

Received an email that I’m on the waitlist with about 50 other people. Was admitted to Stanford EE Aand Berkeley EECS with substantial fellowships so not the end of the world.

SAD :(

My purpose was to provide something the admission committe can laugh at.

Now is as good a time as any to learn how to deal with rejection, right? Good luck, guys.

Really sad about this

Our Committee on Graduate Admissions has placed your application (along with about fifty others) on a "Wait List" in the event an opening becomes available. I am sorry that it is not possible to predict the Committee's final action; however, in the past several years, we were only able to offer admission to a few students who were on the "Wait List".

I have seen number of acceptances from the ChemE dept but no rejections. Any idea whether acceptances are over, Usually by when do they send the regret emails.

Email to check site, generic letter.

E-mail from first person I listed on my SoP; no prior contact. I'm a physics major. The EAPS process is not over so don't despair yet!
