Got an email this morning to check the application status on the website. I'm from a Tier-1 institute in India, with a moderately good GPA and 1 publication in my field.

Submitted my application on Jan 4th, received an email yesterday about a status update.

Received an email at 5pm EST to check the application portal. Undergrad from Tier 1 university in India. 1.5 years work ex at Top MNC. No publications

Can anyone who has been admitted into the Ph.D. program share the date of the virtual visit day? I just want to get a sense of whether I should give up waiting.

Received an email to check application portal. No full time work ex except for a couple of internships & two international publications.

TTPB: Congrats on acceptance! Do you mind sharing your profile and date of submission of the application?

TTPB: If you dont mind sharing, which track did you apply to and which co-director emailed you?

Email mentioned being #1 on the waitlist

Email notifying a change in status.

Email from grad program manager saying that application was under final review, application was strong, most people who reach this point receive offers, etc. and that I should expect official results soon. A bit hesitant to call this an acceptance, maybe implied acceptance is most accurate term. International student with US BA.

In the "final round" Does this mean informal acceptance?

I am an international student (from the US)

basically if u r not on the shortlist (didn't get interview) then you are rejected

American-Canadian dual citizen. Not surprised, wasn't a great fit.

TTPB: Yes, after 2 interviews in early February.

To posters below: I believe I received the same email as you. It says "Applicants at this stage of the review process typically receive offers, so we wanted to inform you in advance in the event that you are considering offers from other programs that have upcoming deadlines." Can I consider this as an informal offer?
