UG in CompE, 2 years research experience, 1.5 years TA, 2 years work experience

Shocked lol.

Received an interview request from Columbia. POI said they are behind schedule this year. I feel they are still pretty much in the process and there is still a lot of opportunities left. Personally I do not think a lot of official accepts have been sent. Do not give up hope people.

I was invited to interview for MA European History, Politics, Society by the Program Coordinator. After discussion, she told me that the program can offer me up to 35-50% funding only and possibly external 10-15K. Considering my research topic, she offered me her recommendation to Harriman Institute, MA Russian, Eurasian, East European program. Has anyone heard from any of these programs? Do I have a chance to be accepted?

Any idea on the Columbia University Data Science decisions?

Not accepted, waitlisted, or rejected yet... I have high hopes since I got a fully funded offer and generous stipend at UW Madison, and I think these schools are similar tier... Though, of course, anything could happen, and I'm starting to have my doubts since I haven't heard back yet. Not sure where all the discourse about Asians showed up, but at the poster below with the Asian only policy, good for you girl! Say no to creepy white men!! Better yet, say no to all men! Be a lesbian and date me instead :-) Congrats to everyone who has gotten in so far!

any update?

Accepted after interview

TPB: Not a result, but wanted to say congratulations to the person below!

Admitted after interviewing.

I haven't heard anything yet (ignore the decision & date column). Has anyone received a rejection?

received an email to check my online portal stating an admission decision had been made! good luck to everyone!

Was rejected because they didn't have faculty working on what I wanted to work on. I indicated an interest in two members since they had something remotely close to what I was interested in. I emailed them before applying to discuss, however, got no reply, so I went ahead and applied knowing my chances were low.

If Columbia University had to take only 8 students, because of a miscalculation last year, wasn't it their responsibility to inform the students? Why did I waste so much money on Application Fees when I don't even have enough food for 3 times a day.

Anyone heard back from Columbia DSI? Would emailing them about an expected timeline be okay?

TTPB: I am one of the accepted applicants below. I was asked to pay $4000 within two weeks to accept the offer. afaik this is the case with all accepted students

Anyone waiting on Columbia Data Science decisions?

TTPB: I totally agree with your Asian only policy. Btw I am an Asian man and currently single.
