With funding!!

Has seriously no one else heard anything from Columbia this season? Has anyone else tried contacting them? I guess I'm either not in or on some sort of unofficial wait list? Kind of late to be keep, no?

Not surprised, found the school last minute and applied.

So not only did William & Mary lose my GRE scores and make me pay to submit twice, but they've now called me "Mr." in my form rejection letter. I made it very clear to them in my application that I'm trans and my legal gender is female. This is not a program that has their act together. Glad I'm already going somewhere else.

Great phone interview with one of the professors. Only 2 - 3 students admitted to this concentration.

Not surprised, lukewarm correspondence. Only the Kansas rejection has hurt so far. Still waiting to hear from three other schools! 1a/0w/3r

The Chair said they would make notifications around March 1st, but as of today I haven't heard anything back. I've checked the portal and it still says "Application Under Review."

Odd silence from the program, plus staff reductions, so I began emailing to ask for updates a few weeks ago. Response: "Due to budget cuts we will not be admitting any students to the graduate program for the foreseeable future. Thank you for your interest in the program. An official letter from our program will be forthcoming." ... along with an application fee refund, I hope?

A number of factors are considered in evaluating each applicant, including the following: a student's undergraduate preparation, scholarship average, requisite test scores, whether the research interests of faculty are relevant to those of the applicant, and whether an applicant can be accommodated by the department to which application is made. Unfortunately, it is not possible for the university to accept all who apply, and each department must screen applications carefully to find the best qualified students. I sincerely hope that you will be able to pursue your academic training at another institution.

Dear acceptees, please turn down your offer asap if you do not plan to attend. My situation is highly promising. Please.
