Finally!!! I am an international student with an M.Sc in Public Health from the UK. Under grad 3.50/4.0 in Chemistry and Masters with Merit and no GRE and publication. I have been waiting for so long for this offer and i am so grateful to the Lord. I maintained my faith in Jesus and i know this day will surely come. I am so so happy. I was rejected in Manitoba University on the 17th of March and still awaiting feedback for Alberta Uni. I am definitely going with this offer. I wish everyone still waiting all the best. Have FAITH in God.

Does anyone know the reason for keeping many applicants in limbo for months? No sort of admission decision whatsoever for months is unreasonable. Columbia is the only university doing this. None of the other top ranked universities have taken more than 2 months. It's infuriating.

"The selection of candidates is based on a number of considerations, including the quality of the academic record, the relevance of the previous work to the anticipated area of study, the strength of reference letters and the availability of an appropriate supervisor. Each file is screened by at least three members of the committee and scored against these criteria. Selection is highly competitive, and only about one applicant in four is accepted into the program."
