Do you need to get an interview to be admitted for EE PhD at Stanford?

Has anyone received the PhD admission result from the EE department?

TTPB. TOEFL 104 (Speaking 22). I didn't receive interviews from top 3. No external funding. I am a circuit-guy but want to switch to architecture. I didn't receive interviews from top 3.

TTBB: Congrats on your interview. Could you tell me your TOEFL score? Do you have external funding? Have you received the interview from Top3 schools(Stan, Berk, MIT)?

Received an e-mail from the ECE Graduate Office. They would like for my application to be reviewed by their MS Committee.

TTPB: Thanks for the suggestion but it looks just some weird naming they follow. Though it says "1/2 time RA", stipend is coming out close to other grad schools, so looks like nothing to worry about. Waiting for results from a couple of other preferred grad schools.

TTPB in Purdue ECE: Congrats, but don't accept just a half GRA. Ask for a full one, maybe bluff by saying you have another offer for a full one. A half GRA for a PhD student is not enough and unfair.

First acceptance! Had an interview with POI a week ago. Unofficial acceptance via email by the grad committee (mentioned that official admit might take up to a month to great reflected on the portal). Offered 1/2 time RA. Good luck to everyone else! To previous asker: sure! I'm in machine learning (I also applied to the CS and Stats PhD but haven't heard back from those yet). The interview was pretty informal. They asked about my research interests, what I do in my current job (specifically, I work in applied ML research so they asked about different ML-based challenges I've had to work with on different problems), and what math or math-heavy courses I took in undergrad and if there were any topics that piqued my interest. I also asked about some of their different projects and some general questions about the program. It seemed to go well—they said they would be in touch shortly but no specifics as to when.

Those who have been admitted to Wustl EE PhD, would you mind revealing which track do you enroll in? Thanks a lot!
