Congratulations to all other admits!! $19K Stipend first year, $19,500 next year. $20,000.00 after that. Some form of summer funding all years.

Got an email from the director saying I was recommended for admission and funding is available for 3 years. My 1st acceptance.

Got an email saying my status has been updated. Checked my portal and saw a letter saying rejected. I knew it was a long shot. Congrats to those who got in, and to those who are also rejected, good news is yet to come!

Received an email saying my status has changed, after a day it changed to denied. Well, their loss.

Received an email said my app status has been updated. :(

Disappointed. Contacted prof previously. Got an email yesterday to check the portal which said "update pending". Check again today and updated to Denied.

I guess I am just not the kind of student they are looking for. Good luck to myself and everyone else.

Was told by DGS that I’m one of a small number of students they have placed on a wait-list. They will admit 5 students this year (their first year of admitting PhD students). Not sure if unexpectedly many accepted students would decline here, since this is their first year of admission. But congrats to all who make it! If you have better choices, please decline as early as possible, please!

Funding for 5 years dependent on "continued good standing towards the degree" offered $18,964 for 2020-2021. Fees amount to roughly $1600 annually and not covered by funding package.

Same as the other applicants - I received an email that my application status had changed but no update on SPIRE so I called the graduate school and they gave me the news. Honestly a silver lining because moving to western Massachusetts was going to be a heavy lift, congratulations to all who did get in!

Email from committee. TAship + $7000 scholarship offered.

Got the email notification that status had changed, checked and it was still 'Update Pending'. Called and got the bad news. Disappointed but not discouraged! Congrats to everyone who got in!

Same as person below, called earlier this week and now received official acceptance.

Was called a few days ago to gauge my interest in the program, and to see if I had any questions; told I was at the top of the shortlist. 5-year funding, 19K stipend (increasing over next few years) and some summer research money. Open house March 3/6
