6 publications, 5 years of research experience, very good SoP and LoRs. Bad verbal GRE, but Chem and Q >82 percentile. TOEFL 92. A little bit disappointed, but at least I was accepted in other top 10 university. Very hard competition, congratulations to applicants accepted.

Got into Penn State, Ohio State and Texas A&M.

So pissed by their rude rejection letter. Well, who would ever want to live in the middle of corn field with all the geese and tornadoes? lol

Received standard rejection e-mail.

Didn't get in. Not that upset. Kind of expected this outcome since most acceptances were sent in late September and early Jan

Maybe I should select more than one professor when they asked my to select 'a professors' who I wanted to work with during the application. Anyway, congrats to all who had been admitted!
