I got a reply back from a graduate program director as follows: "To clarify, the UM English department has not sent out any PhD admissions notifications. Files are still being reviewed, with a final meeting scheduled at the end of the month. I expect to inform applicants of their status by the first week of March."

Anyone heard anything? Feeling the anxiety....

Email to check portal. Generic message.

Unofficial email from program director. Official letter and other pertinent information to follow this month. Crossing my fingers for funding =) Super excited, it's my top choice. Best of luck to everyone looking into this program.

Reserve for DTP last year, encouraged to reapply: proposal was better this year and I had my MPhil grades. Guessing that the competition was harder this year.

Accepted to Rhetoric and Composition PhD program. Waiting for funding decision.

My first waitlist. Received a very kind email that they loved my application and will keep me updated. Would love to live in NC. American lit emphasis. 1w/1a/5r/4p

Accepted with 6 years of funding! So excited. (2a/4r/1w/8p)

Email with personalized acceptance and funding letter attached, followed by generic email to check application portal

The official decision letter is posted on the main application portal.

Checked the portal today and there it was. Really disappointed with one. 4r/1w/0a/4p
