generic rejection email. my undergrad major is chemistry. undergrad research areas in immunology. Trans-disciplinary application. So Hard!!

They have 14 spots, and expect to make several more offers in the coming weeks, so they requested that I respond about whether I wanted to be on their waitlist by Monday. Can only make a limited number of (funded) offers at one time, so they are being very cautious. A 'small number' of people have been contacted for this official waitlist. Hope this is enlightening.

Power Electronics student got into the Applied Electromagnetics and RF Circuits research area but did not get into the actual power/energy groups. I feel like they do not recruit more than a couple of students to that area due to financial reasons this year. I also attended the visiting week back in early Feb.

TTPB: Person who was accepted from BITS Pilani, could you tell us which track you received your admit in? Congrats on getting accepted!

From India- BITS Pilani. Did not appear for GRE ; Had a GPA of 8.48 while applying ; 1 journal paper in relevant field ; No industrial/research internships.

email by program director asking if I wanted to be placed on waitlist

E-mail from the director of graduate studies asking me if I want to be placed on the waitlist

CME. Had interview with head of program last week which was less of an interview and more of an update on the admission process. (I'm an intl student so they may have checked for english proficiency.) Was told I would be informed this week, and got an official letter today.

Accepted with 1st choice of mentor. Currently a grad student at WMU getting my MA under a different faculty member.

TTPB: I too waiting on a response (rejection mostly). But I would say one thing to admission office, if it is not for anything, send me my rejection because I paid you (75$ for domestic, $90 for international) and I deserve a response!!!!

Still waiting on my results. Pretty sure I am just going to assume it's a rejection and move forward with other offers. I can't believe it has taken this long to send out results.

Basically said it was because of a low GRE score

applied 3/1, received email 3/22, will receive formal letter and financial information in a few weeks
