E-mail went to SPAM folder. Went to check after seeing the post below. Nicely worded letter. Still disappointed.

Email went to my spam folder.

Inquired by email about ETAs on notifications. Informed that initial offers were already made. Had thought of this as a 'safety'--whatever that means in this game. A blogger likened this process to a WWII movie (i.e., grim). WWI seems more accurate.

Email says 7 positions, nearly 200 applicants

Fuckin' hell.

Rejection letters always hurt, but at least this one came with a free autograph from Ron Carlson!

I must third the fellow Wait-listers on this forum. Houston is the school I have wanted to attend since I decided to pursue the MFA. Other programs are asking for my decision, and I would hate to accept an offer and find out shortly afterwards that I was next in line at the dream school. If you already know you're not attending, please notify the program. Show some love to your fellow MFA applicants with the same dreams as you.

Accepted off of waitlist. Started out in 2nd place; first news of movement was an acceptance.

as w/ the boise poster below, i understand this is a difficult decision process for all of us, but if u accepting elsewhere, please let BK know

If you're going to accept another offer, you'd be doing a serious mitzvah by letting these guys know sooner rather than later.

Both excited yet wary of this acceptance. Emerson is known for not having the best of funding for their Creative Writing program. It's a blessing that I got in considering all the rejections I got before this but at the same time, an admit with no funding...

Received email to check status. Offer of wait list dated 3/21/14. Letter said no ranking, have to respond within two weeks to accept waitlist and they'll let me know as soon as they finish reviewing all applications holistically.
