Anyone heard back from UBC?

International BA, so excited :)

Canadian domestic applicant! Alma mater.

UG independent research, one year and three summers working/living abroad. Fulbright finalist (declined due to COVID-19). No GRE submitted. Genuinely blown away by this.

Email to check the portal!

(Ignore the waitlist) Anyone has any news from the Columbia?

I emailed UBC this morning asking when prospective students might hear back and heard that students will know their admission status by the end of the week. Good luck to all applicants!

TTPB: The program typically admits only a small number of students (less than 10). If you have another offer, I'd ask for more time to respond to it or take it!

No email. Checked the portal to see my results. Everyone, check your portal to see your status!!!!! Goodluck!

Not a WL: To those who are admitted to British Columbia Masters, Is this the Master or the PhD?

Dear [applicant], I regret to inform you that after evaluating a very strong cohort of applicants, the Faculty Committee on Admissions for the PhD program in Statistics is unable to offer you admission to that program. I know that this is unpleasant news. Unfortunately, admissions committees must base their decisions on materials that reduce unique individuals such as you to the components of their applications dossier. Nevertheless, I can assure you that your application received the most careful consideration, and that the committee made this decision after much deliberation. I wish you success in your future career, and thank you for having given us the opportunity to consider you for admission to Columbia.
