Does any international students receive any reply from IU? Had an interview one month ago but only receive a greeting email from Office of international services(OIS). OIS also asked me to fill some forms but without offer I can't finish it.

Reached out to them about an update, they notified me that the organic pool is very competitive and that my application is on "hold" whatever that means. 3.5 GPA, decent GRE, 3 strong Letters of Rec, 2 years research, 0 publications.

Hi, yes the department emailed me.

3.5 GPA, 2 years research, 0 publications, Not Great GRE scores (Except writing, 81st %tile), reached out to them for an update and they notified me that I had not be admitted. Three strong letters of rec, one from a Rice PhD Alumni. I applied for Organic/Physical Chemistry.

emailed to talk with one faculty before applying and received a good response, then made an appointment to call via skype. He's happy to welcome me joining his group. Unfortunately, my speaking TOEFL score is not good enough, so the school has a decision to deny my application. So sad, it's my first list.
