Was invited to an interview day in December, which I attended in late January. Was notified that I was put on the waitlist on 2/21. Eventually got an acceptance. Five years of generous funding, with three summers guaranteed.

To the posters below! Hi! No i have not been waitlisted. In todays forum i asked about this. I dont understand why if i havent been waitlisted or accepted, im not notified that i have been rejected. According to them, they had sent "a lot of rejections" and we will still have to wait :(

Civil undergrad from IIT KGP. No work experience. 2 internship in computer science field.

My online application still does not have a decision. At this date it is safe to assume rejection, but it is extremely unprofessional of UPenn to not update the status of my application more than four months after its submission, and two days after the decision deadline. I tried contacting the department without success.
