Received an email to check the portal. A few hours later, got a financial aid notification - full tuition and a $10k/year stipend! Super surprised bc I didn't think I was that amazing of a candidate. Good academic stats (3.99 GPA, 168/168/5.0 GRE, and high proficiency in a critical language), but only 2 years of work experience.

Admitted but with no funding... bittersweet

Undergrad international work and volunteering, many internships, and lots of community service

Still a senior in college, so it was a longshot from the start. I guess UChicago it is.

This is my first rejection letter. It indicates my TOEFL score is the primary negative sector. Feeling a little sad but still, I understand their decision. Anyway, best wishes to other applicants!

Accepted with two-years tuition paid for and 8k/year stipend for living expenses. While I'm thrilled just to be accepted, unfortunately, I'll probably decline as it is still a bit too expensive.
