Am i the only one who hasn't heard ANYTHING from WC? I've already accepted a spot elsewhere but i just have to say how unprofessional and inconsiderate that is. I mean their app was due all the way back in january and their first round of acceptances went out early april. I think that they should have immediately sent emails to the rest of us letting us know we were on the waitlist. But i haven't heard one word from them. Waste of money. Definitely won't be recommending any friends to ever apply to this joke of a program.

Has anyone heard back about ESE decisions (Masters)? Already past the "4-6 weeks after submission deadline," no emails or updates to online app.

Can’t say im surprised about how awful this school has been with this whole process. I havent heard many good things about this program.

To the WCU poster below- I completely understand how you feel. WCU has an extremely low acceptance rate- sways between 7 and 8 percent each year re: ASHA EdFind. Typically, they accept their own students first, who qualify, then go to their pool of other applicants as they receive their replies back. While they do rank lower, the ranking of the school really doesn't matter as long as the school is ASHA accredited in the time frame of your enrollment. I believe WCU is popular because of their location. I know several people who have applied here, gotten in most of their other schools (which yes are ranked higher, but have considerably higher acceptance rates), and still haven't heard from WCU - knowing the waitlist timeline they post. I'm not saying the way they do it is right or wrong, and at least it sounds like you had your pick of some awesome schools!

Still haven't heard... shocked because I got into every other school I applied to that are almost all ranked much much higher. Just annoyed I spent the money and time on the application at this point. I only still care for my 100% acceptance rate and a chance to turn their inconsiderate program down ASAP so someone else who is also waiting but actually wants to go can get their response sooner. Thank god this wasn't my dream school, but I'll definitely be telling future friends applying to not even bother. What a joke of a school.

Called graduate admissions about an estimate date of when the 2nd round would be sent out and the lady was INCREDIBLY rude. No help at all.

To the poster below, I also haven't heard anything from West Chester. I believe around this time is when their 2nd wave of acceptances should be going out. I believe that we are all being maintained on a waitlist (which is really just crazy to me; they should reject a certain number of students who don't really have a shot instead of letting them remain #400 on a waitlist in my opinion...). I do think it's kind of inconsiderate that we haven't heard anything back from them...hopefully soon!

Given $10k in merit scholarship for coming school year

Application deadline was late March. Received recent notification for waitlist few days ago. Haven't seen much in the way of decisions for this program. Very curious as to the 2018 cohort. Very much interested in this program.

Accepted. Not enough aid, got a better offer elsewhere.
