Just declined my admission offer. Good luck to those on the waitlist!

Rejected last night 6:43 PST 2 years work experience as software engineer at a FAANG company, undergrad in Computer Science (Psychology minor) @ Top 10 school, 2 years research experience (in Psychology / HCI) + related research thesis in undergrad. No published first-author papers. Co-authored papers in the works, but not yet published. Bummed :( but life goes on! Congrats to all that got in!

So I got rejected despite having a fellowship. I believe my recommenders did not really endorse my application :( Now I regret choosing them.

TTPB :- Which program did you apply to at Harvard?

2 years of full-time research experience. 2 first-author publications. 4 first author posters. Crappy GPA. One letter from Harvard.

Expected. Stanford AAE website did said the majority of Ph.D. offers would be granted to Stanford BS and MS students. Only few Ph.D. admits will be offered to non-Stanford students. The take-away is that, unless you have a very very strong background (near-perfect GPA/GRE, multiple papers from top conference/journal, and solid work experience), please don't waste $145 for the application. In addition, the admission is mainly managed by a committee so emailing POI seems help little. I will accept offers from other top school, Bye Stanford ~

Psy.D. Just received an email about an admissions status update, saying I am on a "short list of candidates under very high consideration." Did anyone else get this as well/ does this mean waitlist...?

Received email from DCT that I was "on a short list of candidates under very high consideration". I've seen posters from previous years mention that this was not the same as a waitlist email, does anyone know what this means?

I got the rejection email 10mins ago. What a relief. Miracle didn't fall on my head duh. Stay safe everyone ;)

Are all the Masters results out? Or are some waiting?

5 yr of exp on wall street in trading/engineering. Prob will just interview at FB/AMZN and take job instead ;) oh well
