To anyone who already received DB offer and does not want to go there. Could you please refuse them as soon as possible? I really need this offer because it is my last hope to get into a PHD program. Thank you very much and I really really appreciate that.

Email from POI informing of acceptance. Said official notification should come soon, and they will be working out the funding some time next week.

Three great letters of rec, two years of graduate level research at a well known University, was notified of rejection after not receiving interview, official letter was received.

Not surprised when I didn't get an interview.

Generic rejection email. Although I figured it was coming since I didn't receive an interview. I don't think I'd apply again if I re-did this cycle: the project proposal of the application took a good chunk out of my research time this fall. (Live and learn, right?)
