Email to check an update to my portal: Thank you very much for applying to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Yale University. I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission. As you know, the very high number of extraordinary candidates among our more than 11,000 applicants far exceeds the number of places we have in each program, and we are not able to admit many excellent candidates. Was expecting it since I did not get the interview, but still hurts... It was my top choice.

Invited to Open House.

Interviewed on 1-15-19 with POI

DMA program

Contacted by POI regarding Skype interview

Asked by email if I was free for a brief phone conversation in a week.

Notified via phone by a PI I had been in contact with at Yale, followed by an official email from the graduate admissions office several days later.

Called the program director to ask about interview status and was told all interview invitations have been sent out at this time.

I applied to MMPP.

We had 150 applicants apply to our program and we selected the top 28 students to interview. I am sorry your application was not selected.

I asked about my status and they said 'I am sorry to inform you that your application was not selected to be interviewed by the BBS program'. International applicant. I interviewed there twice with 2 different PI's and it was a perfect match. It was my first choice so I am heartbroken.

2.5 years undergrad research including 2 summers on campus and one summer off campus. No publications. Terrible GRE scores.

Applying as a senior undergrad. 3 years research, one 3rd author paper.

Received a notification to look at my portal, then received a phone call from a faculty member later.
