Got a phone call in late Feb about the admission offer and received an email on the admission with 14k scholarship, renewable every year.

SO. STOKED. I'm the person who posted in December 2018 about having a Master's degree. The interview was 2/10-2/12 and it basically confirmed that I'd found my dream program. They were super punctual about notifying us too, having said that they'd send out the first round of acceptances before the end of February. From past years, it looks like if you get through to the interview round the chances of receiving an acceptance are very high. Fingers crossed for those still waiting to hear back. Good luck to everyone!

Good luck to those who have been accepted. Sad, but kind of expected it. Anyone knows how many offers they send out for applied physics?

Yes, I had an interview, then a campus visit. However, prior to the interview and visit, I was not in contact with POI. Nevertheless, we communicated regularly afterwards.

Notified via phone on 02/26/2019, got an official email on 03/01/2019, offered with $14,000 scholarship.

To the people who get admitted: congratulations! I'm on the waiting list. If Cornell is not your top choice, could you please decline the offer early? With many thanks!

GPA is graduate (philosophy in a UK university). Nice email notifying me that I'm being considered for a position and should expect to know for certain by April 1st.
