TTPB: Same here, my status does not change. I emailed the coordinator and director many times, but they did not respond. I don't have an interview yet.

TPB, I was rejected a few days ago because the professor had found a better match for his needs. Good Luck. I have another friend who was offered but couldn't secure funding. I hope it goes better for you, Good Luck!

Please has anyone heard from the Materials Science and Engineering department concerning the PhD program for fall 2020? My status still reads "Under review by the graduate department". I was interviewed back in February.

TPB: I received an email from the coordinator that funding is not available for me. You should better contact the coordinator.

I am still waiting for their funding decision. Has anyone heard back from them yet?

I was accepted in the pre-evaluation phase. Was finally accepted after an interview conducted remotely.

TTPB, I was rejected, I asked the professor that I was talking with and had an interview with. He told me that he has no positions available anymore and they, usually, only accept 15-20% of the applicants every year, this year they accepted 18% of the applicants. That is why I am going to Illinois because I do have funding there! Good Luck to you all!

TPB: Did you receive any letter or email from the director regarding funding? I haven't heard from them yet.. I wonder why you chose Illinois over Iowa if you're still on the waitlist for funding. What's the source of the data on acceptance rate btw? Thanks bro

TTPB. Each year, out of about 200 applicants, we offer admission with funding to approximately 35 Ph.D. applicants. The acceptance rate hovers around 18%. Oh well, Illinois it is! Any news about you guys? Good Luck!
