is UCI never friendly to its alumni? I was thinking it would give admission without doubt. I am so sad and angry about this rejection since I graduated with 3.89 GPA from it. Anyone knows how to transfer in master's study?

I have a better admit but after making us wait so long they didn't even have the courtesy of sending a mail.

Finally my wait is over. Reject from UC Irvine. GRE- 320. Undergrad GPA 8.88 from tier 1 Indian university. 2 year work ex.

I am an alumni of UCI. But my status still shows under review. I was not thinking it would be so hard for an alumni to get admits. I am so worried now. Who can help me?

To the post below, I dont think UCI has a spring intake. It is too late to expect an admit i guess. I still dont have a decision from USC either!

No admits this year :( UCI still under review. Do they consider admitting students to spring 17 if not for Fall for the same application? Hope everyone else has atleast one admit.

Hi, Could someone who has references at UCI confirm if the CS department would respond to all completed/submitted applications and by what date, it may be accept or reject but would they send notifications?

I don't know why this sudden debate about the student ID has come up. It's been there on Gats since November for me and I used it as an identifier while sending my transcripts. So, people its been there for AGES and not something new. Let's not waste time on trivialites

Nothing changed :( It still says 'under review' like it has been doing since Januray. It's been a long time. I don't mind a reject now. I am almost finalizing UFL and can't wait much longer. UCI is like that girl you have a crush on, and she friendzones you. Neither says yes, nor no. Damn!
