"The department to which you applied has completed a review of your application for fall sem 2016. We regret to inform you that the Office of Admissions was notified that you are not admissible to the departmental program to which you applied" I'm not really sure why I wasn't admissible, there's no explanation that I can find anyways.

High B.A & M.A GPA, no GRE, partly funded

I emailed admissions 3 days ago, they said: “All successful applicants have been notified by their selected supervisors and/or faculty member. If you have not heard from a supervisor and/or faculty member, an official letter of the decision made will be mailed to you by the end of March” I figured I was rejected but I guess I will have to wait for the letter to be sure.

To the poster below, it seems that only a few people have received acceptances and no one has posted a rejection, so I wouldn't worry just yet. Perhaps they're just waiting for the first round of admitted students to respond.

Quick question to those admitted, or for anyone else that might know: I haven't received any information (email, etc.) about my status. Does this mean I'm wait listed or rejected?

To poster below. I've heard that the SGS status never changes from "under review." I was notified by e-mail of my acceptance and am still waiting for the official acceptance in the mail.

Person below: I understand your frustration but CUNY also plays this game til the very last minute. Many people who are now fully funded students were on the waitlist and unfunded until 4/14... so if you actually want to be in the program I say hold out a little longer!

I'm the poster below as well, got official email rejection today after telling them to remove me from consideration a month ago. Hopefully the rest of you should hear soon! Good luck!

Background includes field schools, internships, presentations, and great references- I will be accepting an offer from a different institution, but it's still an honor to have gotten in to this program.
