Also of note is that the yield rate jumped significantly last year (roughly from 50% in years prior to 70%). Stanford will probably admit slightly fewer students this year..

Got a call from a faculty member giving congrats (faculty I was interested in). The official letter will come out soon. Chem Background with heavy Math. 3 years of research in academia and industry (all roughly related to my choice of field). Tons of community service and outreach. Good luck to everyone out there! :)

Email from PI wanting to discuss the possibility of joining their lab for PhD

So thrilled! Accepted for Winter quarter start from early review. No full-time work experience, graduated this past year from a top UC after transferring from community college, slightly nontraditional background. Had several internships, VP student council, three research projects, exec at a startup for 2 years while still in school, and a lot of extracurricular leadership experience. Strong LORs, GPA and GRE just slightly below last year's admit stats. good luck to everyone waiting to hear back in march!

Has anyone heard anything from POI for any of the GSE PhD programs?

TPB: WL until next season? 2022 Fall?

Did anyone get admission to MS through early admission? High GRE Score, high GPA, 5 publications, reference from ACM fellow, graduate from top 4 CS university in US with working experiences from Google. They put me on the WL and reevaluate me next season? WTF! I can easily get admission to any top MBA programs (Harvard, Wharton, Columbia, MIT) except GSB. I'm sick of MSE admission committee and going to withdraw my application. The only thing makes them look better is to WL/reject top talent.

Was told I was going to be put in the larger pool of application decisions, to be announced in March 2020. Bummer, I thought I had a really good shot for early admit. Ivy league undergrad, top tier work experience (tech/VC), have taken 4 SCPD classes with all A's, good recs, etc. Guess we will see what happens in March.
