Applications were "particularly strong." Have you noticed how they never say, "Our applicant pool was unusually weak this year, but you STILL didn't make it"?

I e-mailed and was told that they cannot give decisions over e-mail or phone, but those who were accepted or wait-listed were notified two weeks ago. Formal letter to follow.

To the person who was told "we haven't totally rejected you, but the chances don't look good" by Marge Lesser, she told me something similar on 03/12/2007. I spoke to her about it since and she said that she didn't really know when there might be a final decision made on my app.

They sent link to the online application webpage. And disappointment...

I emailed my potential advisor since I have decisions to make and was tired of waiting!!
