Interview over the phone with two professors. 10-15 days waiting time for acceptance or rejection.

Sorry the "Accepted" below was a mistake. I meant to click "interview."

I received an email for an interview next week with two faculty members.

4 years of research. 1 first-author MNRAS paper. Numerous talks and conferences. Strong recommendation letters. Numerous awards and fellowships during undergraduate years. Had observational astronomy experience. Good grades. Fingers crossed...

Bad verbal, good undergrad research, great letters. It seems that Yale don't like those students who only have 3-year undergrad life or low verbal scores. Hope I can be more luckier thereafter.

I also was invited to participate in a webinar geared toward recruitment of diverse students. I don't think this is related to admission status.
