Anyone thinking of turning down UVA, please do so soon, so those of us who are waitlisted have a shot of getting in.

I was accepted but am on the waitlist for funding. I don't know how many people they gave funding to but I know for a fact that they accepted at least one more person than they had money for. I don't know what that means for the people on the admissions waitlist.

randomly checked website...Does anyone know how many are generally waitlisted? Or admitted? I read somewhere that only 4 fellowships are given yearly, so assuming they may put a similar number on the waitlist?

Thanks Long Island - I didn't say you were a jerk, I found it funny. In regards to the age thing, I was just curious because their tends to be a pretty wide age range in grad school and I hav noticed there are usually more female than male Art History majors.

I'm the one from Long Island, and I am not a hermaphrodite, nor did I write that I was one. Sarcastic jerk may be from LI, but he or she is not I. I'm female (not sure how that applies, though), 24, and my concentration will be in modern/contemporary western art.
