I received an email from the chair that was really informal and not very warm. They said they could offer me a TAship and admittance, but wanted to know if I was still interested before sending me any documents. Anyway, I said no because I've got a better offer!

Email said most applications ever. 10% acceptance rate across the English department with some programs (probably the MFA) as low as 3%.

I'm not applying for statistics, but my friend is, and she got notification at the end of March. She's admitted but hasn't made any decision on the offer. Maybe you're on the waitlist.

To person accepted to Duke: Purdue had sent out their offers. I wouldn't hold out on a phd offer because they won't accept many because they have a small program with no new funding this year (there now). If you weren't accepted, they only accepted a couple of people at most this year.

Even I haven't received any news. Meaning we are waitlisted? They will inform us prior to 15th I hope. What is the funding like at Purdue?

Call the admission stuff and DGS. They told me that they will provide further information before April 15th. If not rejected, you are in the waiting list. To post below, do you think Purdue has such long waiting list?
