Has anyone heard anything back from the American Studies department? Did people get interviews? Is that a part of the process? I am trying to figure out if I should still be feeling exciting anticipation or cry tears of closure and move on with my life. To anyone reading; we're all in this together and you will be ok!

Emailed POI (JW) and he said that they "had an unusually small allocation from the graduate school office, and it looks like there will only be 2-3 slots available in the clinical program for hundreds of applicants"

Rejected by Harvard, Stanford, and Princeton all in one day. Pretty impressive, if I do say so myself.

8 published papers, 1 submitted. But it seems that this is not enough for Harvard...

Yeah, I was recommended by the History Dpt. admissions committeee to the GSAS for admission to the PhD program. I was then told it would be given a final review by the GSAS with the strong support of the Department. I don't get why the GSAS would say no to the Department and why it isn't already an acceptance, but I guess the chances are good at this stage.
