3 hopefully strong LORs, very strong SOP, good GRE scores (333), good research exp, internships, no papers.

To the post below: Penn State had flyout about two weeks ago, and I believe they are expending offers. Most of those will fell through and they will probably have more offers. Maryland had interviews last week. Cornell has already made offers. If you have not heard from any of these schools, the chances for you to get an interview is pretty low I think, at this point.

To the post below, did you apply 1st round for 2nd? I applied 2nd round and interviewed (online) recently. When did you interview? Thanks! The info would really help.

TPB: Same situation here. Apparently a number of rejections were sent, I would guess we are on the wait list, but the list so long and only people who are on the top list will get a letter. Changes of getting admitted would be slim.

I'm sorry to inform you that you will not be offered admission to the M.S. program in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University for Fall 2019. Our very large applicant pool and small program size enabled us to admit only 10% of our applicants--we realize that we could not accommodate many highly qualified applicants.

Is it implicit rejection for those who have not yet received a decision from them?

To the post below. Yeah me too, I just got notified that it is currently under review . I though the final decision would come out, such a long wait.

Just received an email says that application just starts to be under review, and it will still take about 4-6 weeks for the result. Anyone else got this?
