Incredible email from Katie Peterson. This is one of my top choices, so if anyone is planning on declining an offer, just know that I will send you a fruit basket in spirit.

COOL

To the poster below-- MFA Draft '19 is a FB group people use to keep track of where others applied and are accepted. It's a community to have questions answered and chat while you wait it out. I personally did not find the vibe helpful and left the group, but send a join request and check it out if you're curious!

what's draft?

To the U of Maryland poster below out of options for this season - hang in there. Look at some low res options too - still time to get an application in for this fall with most of them. Chin up and pen down on paper. Keep going.

According to MFA Draft, it sounds like there are several that have been waitlisted. Crossing my fingers that someone falls off the list or I get a better offer.

"Near the top of the waitlist" email from Amy Quan Barry!

Called Iowa. Was told not finished notifying acceptances. Not sure if true as it might be the standard answer they're instructed to give, but it gave a little hope.

Finally, some movement.

Holy moly somebody pinch me

Notified via email by program chair. She let me know I'm on a waitlist for funding and she'd inform me if there was movement. I applied CNF.

Received a letter from the Department sent 2/5 then a letter sent from the graduate office 2/14.

Call from program director offering admissions and full funding/stipend, follow up letter with details and email from POI in the following week.
