CMT mainly (though can do CME). Met with PI once, with overlapping interest.

Rejections are coming in hard and fast, bois. But it's ok. Good luck to all the deserving international candidates for getting it.

Emailed the grad coordinator and got a reply; hep-th. I don't understand what are they waiting for. They have the results and why not send it together. I had my hopes up, lol!

Ignore waitlisted; Any idea of hep-th acceptances from Penn?

Ignore wait list. Has anybody received anything from these guys? Should I assume rejection at this point?

UMD College Park. Ignore Waitlist. If you have received an offer from UMD especially from JQI, and you dont wish to attend. Please turn down the offer ASAP. Please do it ASAP. Thanks for bring considerate.

HEP-th. No idea why they're releasing rejections in waves like this. Yesterday had my hopes up, but luckily I kept some perspective, so I'm not too devestated. If you're an international, I would not get my hopes at all. I know an amazing international student who got rejected yesterday, with a profile that can hardly be beat.

Did not take GRE but had work experience through internships and school research.

Ignore waitlisted; Does anyone knows if Penn has sent out all the rejections? I have'nt recieved anything so far. Anyone in the same situation. Btw I applied to hep-th.

Hep-th/HEP-Ph. Called for interview and thesis presentation last week, after that had a 30 mins zoom meeting with prospective supervisor. Results will be informed in this or next week. There were only 3 international students called for the interview (Non Resident UK Citizens).
