Got an email today for the suncoast consortium program. Not the news I wanted at all but I'm glad it's a waitlist rather than a rejection!! I have really worked so hard and really really need this!!! My only option left right now and it's my top choice!! Please if you have been accepted here to the suncoast consortium program and are declining please do as soon as you know. I was accepted to the Consortium Program. I currently work in the schools and this is my third year applying. I was an officer of my local NSSLHA group, traveled to ASHA conferences, shadowed schools and rehab clinics SLP's, and continuously networked with professors. I love the field and am so beyond happy to finally be starting my graduate degree. All I have to say is keep working hard and don't give up, I almost did and I'm so glad I didn't. Good Luck! | ||||

Totally blown away. Didn't think I had a chance because of my gpa (especially because my in-major gpa was closer to a 3.3), but I guess they look at more than that! Had good gre scores, a LOT of leadership/extracurriculars on my resume, and i'm pretty sure my letters were good. So excited that I get to go to such a highly-ranked program! And in Florida! Coming from a cold-as-shit northern state (we just got another few inches of snow today), this is literally the best news ever. Can't wait! Anyone know of a facebook group yet? | ||||
