From China, 3 years undergrad in Canada. Rejected by Michigan China Studies in Feb. No funding, 70k a year is expensive but Duke is my dream school, so still going to it.

Does anyone know if they are done giving out admits yet? Hard to tell historically

Unclear information about funding.

Reminder that some schools (like Duke) make offers on a rolling basis as funds permit. If you have offers that strictly dominate others, please decline them in a timely manner so offers can work their way down to the little guys.

Received an email asking me to check the online portal. Accepted although I didn't receive a scholarship. I'm a student from India.. Top 5% in my university, strong extracurriculars, 4 years volunteering and 3 summer internships. Delighted!

To Duke Literature person below: I am still waiting as well. I sent an email to their departmental secretary last week, but no response. I was also considering to contact the director of the program; highly possible that it’s gonna be bad news. Indeed, the response you got from the director is very rude, though I got a rejection like this from the other program. Seriously, what’s wrong with them.

Rejected from PhD, admitted to Master's with partial scholarship.

$20K Scholarship but still too expensive to attend. :(

Emailed to check website, additional email on March 2nd regarding visit day.

Duke Literature person below. I posted earlier about not hearing back. I contacted the director of the program and he sent me back a curt two sentence email telling me that I didn't get in. I didn't expect to get in, but it still seemed very unprofessional and rude. I would contact the department directly but no news seems to be bad news.
