Met with a lab PI the week before and received an acceptance a little over two weeks after submitting my application. Undergraduate chemistry major with 3+ years of research and 3 REU experiences. Three conference presentations and no pubs

Really absurd to get this rejection email at the end of May. Accepted by a much better place in March.

CMT. No GRE/sGRE. 1 preprint, 3 years of CMX research, 6 months of CMT research. No interview. GPA: 4.05/4.3 = 3.77/4.0 The admissions committee was very impressed with your application and had put you on top of our waitlist. It turns out that we might have one opening and so we wanted to check with you to see if you had any interest in our program at this point?" I guess this count as an admission? Turned down immediately after receiving this email for another offer.

Contacted via email for a zoom meeting with my professor of interest. B.S. in Software Development M.S. in Information Security Carnegie Mellon Alumni 4 years of Software Engineering Experience

They decided to reject early but the result came too late.

With 33k funding

What a hell of a program! It was a dream-like program for me; I had around 11 professors working on stuff directly related to my past projects, and I tried mailing each of them multiple times, but no one cared to respond, nor did the admissions committee. I feel like trash now; maybe I am not good enough to pursue this course. I am just in tears writing this, so apologies if this feels too exaggerated!! Good luck to those who got in!
