Still waiting on Rutgers after 5 rejections and being accepted to Indiana, which offers no funding.

The message read as follows: "The Committee has decided not to recommend you for admission to our program. We had the largest and most competitive applicant pool to date and are able to admit only a small percentage of those who applied. While your background and experience are significant accomplishments, the Committee has determined that other applicants are a better fit for the program at this time." Quite disheartened!

Undergrad from mid-tier uni, good LoRs and projects, long internship in Data Science and research internship in Vision and Language, GPA: 8.97/10

To the poster below, what program did you apply to for the University of Michigan?

Got into CMU's MHCI program. I also applied to UW's MHCDE program, waiting to hear back about this one.

Applied thesis and give me non-thesis without funding. I have better offer.

I was accepted into University of Michigan and New York University, but not this program. I would only apply if you have an extensive portfolio that demonstrates work experience.

Master of Public Health (MPH)

Regection hurts but I got into my first choice of CMU, so I’ll get over it

I interviewed in-person and am doing follow-up interviews still this week. I am posting this mostly as a response to the below posters. I was the original UW poster in this results section and while I do not know if interviews are completely over, there was a primary interview day for the dept that has passed.

To below poster: I received a similar email after I applied. No news yet. Hope we both get a position! Best of luck!
