Email to check portal. No scholarship.

Seems that today is the mass email for rejecting those in the "long list" for second round. As generic as the email is, I'm glad at least I was considered for second round instead of being the first batch to "be rejected" like I have for the past 2 consecutive years.

Applied for the M.Arch/ MSUP dual-degree. Waitlisted yesterday for MSUP, but accepted today for M.Arch with some scholarship money. I'm so excited!

“We were very impressed by your file, which means that you would have a reasonable chance of being admitted in our second round of offers. However...due to ongoing financial uncertainty around COVID pandemic, we were only able to make half our usual number of offers.” Lol, is this supposed to be comforting?

Emailed the program to ask for status of my application and they said I am waitlisted and may not hear back for another few weeks. Sad as it is my top choice and it seems they only accept two or three students for this stream per year.

Wasn't expecting this after rejections from the other ivies I applied to, but a good surprise nonetheless. Didn't receive any scholarship though.

Rejected from PhD, offered consideration for MS after video interview. Was pretty flustered for the video interview and feel like I did not do well. My stats - Honors in EECS from top 5 US school, GRE 170Q/167V/5.5W, 6 years software engineering and startup experience in POI's research area but no publications & all LORs from industry. Rejected everywhere this year, should have applied to some safer schools. Congrats everyone that got in.

Congrats to those admitted! This is my second year applying and I was lucky enough to be wait listed. If you were admitted and do not plan to attend, please, please, inform the department. I was rejected at seven other schools, this wait-list is my only chance for next year.

Canadian applicant, phonetics-phonology. Perfect BA and MA gpa (4.0), lots of research experience, just.... :(

Had the option to apply for a Master's, I didn't indicate any interest in doing that on my application though. Took them long enough!

Was kind of expecting it, but still waiting to hear back from other programs. I remain undiscouraged.

TTPB. No, if I open the e-form, I simply need to say I am interested in the MS and that I understand that I will have to participate in the video interview. Pretty simple I guess--no extra fees.

No publication, good grades during BA and MA. Sub-field phonetics. Applying for Dr. Bryan Gick. No interview, get an official rejection letter today. I am now doing my MA linguistics at SFU. Will apply again next year.
