TPB: Why so pessimistic though. Cornell Tech never notified all accepted MEng CS candidates at the same time.

Heard back from the admissions committee. Likely that we'll receive update on our applications by the end of this week. I'm guessing i didn't make it through, else would have received admit by now. Good luck to the rest of the applicants. Will post my outcome by end of the week.

Received an email notification that said a decision had been made. I accessed the official message on the application portal. Found a nice surprise since acceptances are usually emailed (at least when it came to my other schools).

Had a one way video interview on 24th March. No update yet. Haven't heard back from the admissions committee. Anyone facing a similar situation ? What do you think my chances are ? I'm not sure if I'm waitlisted or rejected. Status is still under-review. Pls respond to this post addressing me as - #waiting_user_1#

The haven't sent official rejection mail yet. But I mailed Bianca Burns and she informed me that all Ph.D. admits have been sent. No admit will be sent at this point of time. They have transferred my application for consideration in Masters of Science.

To the posters below: I have also not received a rejection yet, my application status on portal still shows "Complete". Don't know when they will send the result :( :(.

TPB: yes schools make offer after April 15th or so I heard from quite reliable sources

Perhaps we need to wait until Apr 16 to see things move on. But is that possible to get offer after Apr 15???

To the post below: how are they going to do the technical assessment? did they mention that? Will it be a technical interview or an online coding test??

Received invite for technical Assessment because some of the courses I took in college did not meet their standard

Applied Round 2. Received email that application is "under review" on 3/5. It's still "under review"...status unchanged. No interview invite, either. Emailed admissions...no response. I have 7 yrs work exp in industry. Unsure what's going on...

Applied in round 2. In the application portal, the current status is "under review". Haven't received any interview invite either till now. Anyone else in a similar situation?? Should i just assume that i have been rejected?? Could someone please kindly throw some light on this?

TPB: I'm pretty sure Applied Econ and Econ are two different programs so 160 might just be the total number of waitlist students combined, which sounds about right. However, the 60 admit I referred to only applies to Econ PhD program (Not the Applied program) so that could be the difference.

Someone posted a few weeks back: "I called up Cornell: They said that there are 160+ students on the waiting list and the waiting list is separate by different fields i.e. Applied, Development etc. They reported admitting 60 students out of 550+ applications for a target class size of 15-20."

I don't think the number 160 is correct. I was told 60+ were offered admission, and they want 15-17, so I guess equal number of waitlist or even less sounds legit. I'm sure finding 15 people who would want to go to Cornell out of 120 total is not difficult.

TPB : Where did you heard that from? Seriously, 160+? Do you know how many people already accepted offer for Cornell?
