Accepted with no funding, so declined the offer - won't "purchase" the Oxford degree. It seems that they are not inclined, in the social sciences and humanities in particular, to fully fund non-EU folks. Of course, we know, tons of international students, including Americans and Canadians, accept this to put Oxford on their CVs, which basically has financed the institution. This, however, will not last long. | ||||

EU student. I discovered I wasn't shortlisted for funding on 10 April, so I won't go there. Oxford admits everybody meeting the requirement and let the funding committees do the dirty job. The "number of places available" on your degree page is not the number of offers sent, it's the mean enrolment. Receiving an offer isn't the end of the process, it's the beginning. | ||||

Accepted at Nuffield College too but no funding so off to US program. Oxford's model is to admit everyone and then give funding to just the few that it thinks truly merit a place. I would highly recommend against going if they ask you to pay (you'll essentially be paying for the few who did get awards). | ||||
