We are honored by your interest in the MIT AeroAstro graduate program. Admission to our program is highly competitive with roughly 12% of applicants being admitted and many very strong applicants being turned down. Your application for admission to our department's graduate program has been placed on an unranked wait list with approximately 40 others. Being placed on the wait list indicates that faculty are interested in working with you on your graduate studies, however, based on our estimated acceptance rate of admission offers, we do not believe we will have an opening for you at this time. Given the uncertainty on the exact number of admitted students that will accept our offer of admission, we do place a small number of applicants on the wait list. I am sorry that we cannot predict the final outcome of your application for admission at the present time. As the situation evolves, we may admit students from the wait list, and that could happen any time from now until the end of May. We will notify all wait-listed applicants of a final decision no later than May 31, 2019.

To the person waitlisted below, which concentration did you apply to? Mind sharing your background?

So sad......

Received today - letter dated 3/1. Anyone know the odds of being admitted off the waitlist @ MIT?

Sad :(

Got an email this morning with a PDF attached. Super excited!! Interviews consisted of two panels (faculty, alum, and students) and a one-on-one student interview and focused on previous research. They asked lots of "Why do we care about ___?" questions with clarifying technical questions thrown in. They also asked a lot of questions about why MEMP over other MIT programs.

Did not have any relevant publications.

@ the poster below; No Reply to my emails inquiring about the decisions of the MS CEP Program in over a 8 days. Very anxious :( :( :(

Havent heard from MIT regarding my application for the MSCEP program. Also, there has just been one instance of admission to this program on Gradcafe! Not sure what to expect.

Not surprised. Have 2-year work exp in O&G industry and 2-year work exp in consulting company. One relevant publication.

Has anyone heard from MIT CEE? Environmental engineering track, applying MS with the expectation of completing PhD.

I am wondering what MIT is doing this year!

I'm on cloud nine!

At least, I tried

Via portal: The Admissions Committee has considered your application for the Master of Business Analytics (MBAn) Program and has concluded that we cannot offer you a place in the incoming class. This year, over 1,000 candidates competed for 60 places in the MBAn Class of 2020. Since we have so few spaces to offer, the challenge is selecting not only academically qualified applicants, but also the very strongest candidates from a field of extraordinarily talented individuals. We realize this news comes as a disappointment. However, we do hope that you will accept our best wishes for your success

E-mail from the Building Technology grad coordinator: "We are just beginning the process. Everyone will know by mid-March."
